What counts as a high-quality site? It shouldn't suprise you. It's what we were all taught in high schools when presenting well written papers. 

So when the world's most popular search engine recently announced an update to its search algorithm, many of those businesses that use low-quality content or highly dense keyword populated websites to drive search engine traffic found themselves at the bottom of the heap.

Here are two tips for building an effective keyword list:

• Think like a customer. What terms or phrases would your customers use to describe your products or services? List any keywords that you think users might search for on Google to find your business. Then expand your list to include relevant variations including alternate spellings (e.g. light, lite), plurals, and synonyms.

SEO is a fancy term to simply describe how material posted to the Internet is formatted. SEO can be applied to content (text) on websites and blogs, images (pictures), and even the coding “behind the scenes” called "meta data." Meta data consists of descriptive text and phrases that is contained in "meta tags" and affects how the content is read and indexed by search engine robots.
